ALBATROSS PHOTOS FOR PRESS USE

These images are of Laysan albatross chicks on Midway Atoll that have been lead poisoned and have developed a form of nervous-system damage called “droopwing.” These chicks are unable to hold up their wings, which drag on the ground and become vulnerable to open sores and fractures. Photos and video should be credited to Myra Finkelstein.
