LITTLE DROP OF WATER PROJECT

Along with partnering organizations and thousands of concerned individuals, the Center is engaged in an ongoing creative project to help save the Verde River — and we’re inviting you to help supply the creativity.

Call it art therapy. Call it your own version of a prayer flag, or a hopeful reworking of the whole “cry me a river” idea. Call it whatever you like. Just join us in our project today.

It’s easy. Download, print, and cut out the droplet on our “Little Drop of Water” template — or make your own template — and use it to artistically celebrate the Verde. You might write a love note to the river, publicly vow to conserve water, or signal your hopes that wisdom will prevail to keep the river flowing.

Color it, sign it, and make it your own. Then send it to us! We’re stringing all the Little Drops of Water together to form a river-like ribbon of support for the Verde for display in Prescott and surrounding communities. Little Drops of Water have also been showcased at area businesses and at numerous events ranging from local Earth Day celebrations to water forums.

Mail your droplet to:

Little Drop of Water
Center for Biological Diversity
P.O. Box 39629
Phoenix, AZ 85069

If you’re inclined to create a digital masterpiece, email it to [email protected]. We’ll add it to our river of droplets.

What the Little Drops are saying so far:

“It’s not a question of will we… we MUST keep the Verde River flowing.”

“The river was named the Verde (Green) for a reason! I promise to do what I can to keep it from drying up!”

“I LOVE the VERDE!!!”
