ABOUT RACE4EARTH
For fitness enthusiasts who race in marathons, triathlons, or century rides — or create an event of their own — adopting a charitable cause is a great way to do good while giving their fitness goals an extra boost of motivation. We at the Center for Biological Diversity think it‘s important to give these activist-minded endurance athletes the means to effectively use their passion for sport to help save and protect our planet’s natural resources. RACE4EARTH is a sport-centric charitable program created by the Center. RACE4EARTH aims to build on the growing popularity of endurance sports — and the positive energy of the active men and women who participate in them — to create more awareness and financial support for the protection of endangered species and the wild places they need to thrive. RACE4EARTH was created specifically for any endurance athlete who wants to harness their passion for sport with their love for nature to protect imperiled plants and animals and their critical habitat. To learn how you can RACE4EARTH at your upcoming marathon or triathlon, or if you’re an event producer and would like to create a RACE4EARTH event, please call Center board member Scott Power at (310) 773-1165, or send an email to [email protected]. Thank you. |
