Center Sponsors Owl-painting Contest in Nepal

In July 2008, 23 children attending schools in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal participated in a day-long program to learn about the conservation and significance of birds — specifically, owls — and to compete in an owl-painting contest. Hosted by Friends of Nature and sponsored by World Owl Trust and the Center for Biological Diversity’s Global Owl Project, the program and contest were both a great success.
