Just days before it ended, the Trump administration took a major step toward trading away beloved Oak Flat in the Tonto National Forest to international mining behemoth Rio Tinto.

Now the company is dangerously close to acquiring the land for a destructive copper mine. This area is sacred to Apache and other peoples and home to a diverse array of wildlife, including rare and imperiled species.

We need leadership from the new Congress to stop this injustice before it goes any further. Please contact Arizona's senators and ask them to do everything in their power to protect this extraordinary place.
