President Biden has nominated Rep. Deb Haaland (D-N.M.) to be the next secretary of the Interior. As chair of the House Subcommittee on National Parks, Forests, and Public Lands in the 116th Congress, she’s fully qualified, capable and prepared. She will be the first Indigenous person in our nation’s history to run a Cabinet-level department.

Rep. Haaland understands the urgent need to not only repair the damage caused by the Trump administration but reform the department to ensure those abuses never occur again. She understands the importance of swiftly addressing the biggest challenges our public lands and waters face: the climate emergency and the extinction crisis.

Urge your senators to confirm Rep. Haaland as Interior secretary.
