Everyaction,

Florida state legislators may soon dramatically limit your First Amendment right to protest for what you believe in.

Recently introduced bills, titled "Combating Public Disorder" (Senate Bill 484 and House Bill 1), mirror Gov. Ron DeSantis' proposal to criminalize free speech – a proposal he pitched in response to the 2020 Black Lives Matter protests. The legislation will limit free speech and the right to assemble and will slash legal protections for protestors.

We need to fight back against this un-American and unconstitutional effort to silence all of us fighting for racial, social and environmental justice.

Tell Senate President Wilton Simpson and Speaker of the House Chris Sprowls you adamantly oppose the Combating Public Disorder legislation.
