Everyaction,

Center supporters called for stronger protections for diamondback terrapins — and Florida wildlife officials listened. They’ve proposed new rules against taking these beautiful, ornate-looking turtles from the wild and owning them without a permit.

Florida's terrapins are in decline and need help now to survive mounting threats. This rule would help protect them from being snatched out of their homes and make it easier for law-enforcement officers to catch poachers and traffickers in the act.

Help secure a bright future for diamondback terrapins: Urge Florida wildlife officials to adopt these critical protections.
