Everyaction, The Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison national forests are home to some of Colorado’s most beautiful and remote wildlands. For the first time in decades, the U.S. Forest Service is revising its management plan for these forests, including the area surrounding the hiking, mountain-biking and skiing mecca of Crested Butte and parts of the San Juan Skyway. This is our opportunity to make sure the plan is strengthened to better protect sensitive roadless areas, wilderness and imperiled species, including bighorn sheep. Tell the Forest Service to do everything it can to protect the wild places and wildlife of this spectacular recreational area. |
