Goldilocks, the three bears and the One Earth

Their homes may be lovely and their food just right, but what happens when we move in and wildlife gets crowded out?

With more than 7.5 billion people on the planet, our increasing demands are eating up natural resources faster than the Earth can replenish them and we’re leaving less and less for bears and other wildlife. This year, our overconsumption used up our natural budget as of August 1. That means we’re headed into five months of debt to the planet, increasing the threat of climate change, drought, pollution and biodiversity loss.
