Action timelineSeptember 14, 1998 – The Johnson's seagrass was listed as threatened under the Endangered Species Act, thanks to a petition and litigation by the Biodiversity Legal Foundation (later absorbed by the Center). April 5, 2000 – The National Marine Fisheries Service designated 22,574 acres of Florida lagoons as critical habitat for the Johnson's seagrass. |
