Action timeline

– The Center filed a petition with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to list the Holmgren’s milk-vetch as an endangered species.

– In response to our petition, the Service proposed listing the milk-vetch as a federally endangered species.

– The Service listed the Holmgren’s milk-vetch as an endangered species. Critical habitat designation, however, was delayed indefinitely.

– The Center and its allies gave notice of intent to sue the Service for failure to designate critical habitat and produce a recovery plan for the Holmgren’s milk-vetch.

– The Service finally designated critical habitat and created a recovery plan.

– The Service prepared a five-year review of the status of the species and confirmed that the Holmgren’s milk-vetch is still endangered.
