PROTECTION STATUS: Threatened

YEAR PLACED ON LIST: 1985

CRITICAL HABITAT: 1,968 acres designated in 1985

RECOVERY PLAN: 1990

RANGE: Endemic to the Ash Meadows area in southwestern Nye County, Nevada and southeastern Inyo County, California

THREATS: Water diversions and groundwater pumping, road construction, off-road vehicles, agriculture, livestock, and feral-horse grazing

POPULATION TREND: Remaining populations of the Ash Meadows gumplant are beginning to stabilize.
