Action timeline

January 28, 2003 – The Center joined 10 other conservation organizations in petitioning for Endangered Species Act protection for the Pacific lamprey.

December 2, 2004 – The allies secured an agreement for the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to make a decision on the listing petition by November 2005.

December 27, 2004 – The Service made a determination that the Pacific lamprey does not warrant listing.
